Setting up a crypto wallet should not feel like a homework assignment. On October 1, 2026, the Midnight team announced that Dynamic, a Fireblocks company, now supports Midnight, making it much easier for people to connect wallets to Midnight apps.
The Problem It Solves
The Midnight team cites an estimate that 80% of users give up before their first transaction, largely because of browser extensions, seed phrases and fee setup. A seed phrase is the list of words that acts as the master key to a crypto wallet. Losing it can mean losing everything, which is stressful for beginners.
Two Ways to Connect
Bring your own wallet: Existing users can connect wallets like 1AM or Gero through Midnight's official connector.
Sign in with email or social: New users can create an embedded, non custodial wallet just by logging in. Non custodial means you, not a company, stay in control of your funds.
Embedded wallets use threshold signature schemes, a security method that splits a private key into pieces so it is never stored in one place. No browser extension is needed.
Midnight's Three Wallet Pieces
Midnight wallets juggle three parts, and Dynamic handles them behind the scenes:
DUST: A private, non transferable resource for fees. Holding NIGHT generates up to 5 DUST per NIGHT.
Unshielded: Public addresses holding NIGHT and other visible assets.
Shielded: Private addresses where zero knowledge technology protects balances.
Good for Builders, Too
Dynamic's single SDK also supports EVM, Solana, Bitcoin, Sui, TON and Aleo. Teams already using Dynamic can add Midnight with the same integration. With permissionless smart contracts now live, that ease of onboarding arrives at exactly the right time.
