Midnight made a big showing at TOKEN2049 Singapore, held October 7 and 8, 2026, one of the largest crypto conferences in the world. Here is a simple recap of what was shown, based on the Midnight Foundation's own summary.

The Ecosystem on Stage

Midnight President Fahmi Syed presented the ecosystem's growth. Live demos included:

  • Collateral Warehouse: A way to shield deposits used across different markets. Collateral is an asset you lock up to secure a loan or trade.

  • Offer Files: Private, single step trades designed to resist front running, which is when someone sees your pending trade and jumps ahead of it for profit.

New Products to Watch

  • Midnight Companions: Privacy preserving AI agents that give personalized recommendations without exposing your personal data.

  • Midnight Passport: An app for managing digital identities and assets through private aliases. Users can delegate certain permissions to AI agents. An alias is an alternate name that lets you act without revealing your real identity.

  • Nightmode with SIG Network: Shielded vaults that bring private versions of popular DeFi apps like Uniswap and Aave to Ethereum.

Charles Hoskinson Introduces Nightframes

Input Output founder Charles Hoskinson presented Midnight City, a simulation where AI agents can test cross chain trading, identity and commerce. He also introduced Nightframes, described as a privacy focused successor to standard smart contracts.

Why It Matters

The common thread is clear. Midnight is positioning itself as the privacy layer for a future where AI agents, digital identity and finance all overlap. In that world, keeping data private is not a luxury. It is the only way to let software act for you safely.

With permissionless smart contracts already live, many of these ideas are moving quickly from stage demos toward real products.
